Manifacier Penner Duo

morgan manifacier, tenor

corinne penner, piano

Known for their nuanced and probing interpretations, French tenor Morgan Manifacier and American pianist Corinne Penner regularly appear in song recitals together across North America and Europe, including Sibelius Hall (Järvenpää), Thayer Hall (Los Angeles), Kulturwerft Gollan (Lübeck), and Walter Hall (Toronto). Together, they were awarded the 2022 John Kerr Award Duo Prize for their all-English recital in London. Manifacier, described as a performer who “gives himself completely to the singing” (Unser Lübeck), is a two-time winner of the American Prize in Voice and a recipient of the Jere H. Brophy Scholar Award. Penner, lauded by Fanfare Magazine as a “superb pianist…truly magnificent,” has received fellowships and other awards from the Tanglewood Music Center, the Cremona International Piano Competition, and the Koch Cultural Trust. Both hold a DMA from Stony Brook University and teach at Baylor University’s School of Music.
